I think this is about the longest list of goals I’ve ever had for a bike. We really didn’t cut any corners when it came to making Pete the ultimate bike for winter fun and year round bike-packing adventures. Pete was no novice to the custom bike experience; his mix of specific requests and open-ended desires made him a pleasure to work with.

Pete has been bikepacking year round, including some really cool winter trips (get it, really cool). To accommodate this we added anything cage mounts to his fork, and an extra set of bosses under the downtube for water or fuel. We also put rear rack mounts in case a saddle bag isn’t big enough. Internal routing through the downtube means no mess when attaching a frame bag.

Many people consider a Gates Belt Drive to Rohloff Speedhub setup to be the best possible combination for bike packing. While we decided to go with a Sram 1×11 setup for now, we left the door open to make that upgrade later. The frame has a split for the belt drive and Paragon Rockers (adjustable dropouts). Also, by switching the dropout inserts out a Rohloff could be used.
